Doctor and biologist born July 12, 1861 in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) and died October 29, 1933 in Paris. His name is associated with that of Camille Guérin for having developed the vaccine against tuberculosis, the "bacillus Calmette et Guérin", well known by the acronym BCG.
